Homework (Independent Practice)is given daily including weekends. Homework will be checked daily. Homework cannot be made up for credit. Homework is almost always included in the notes packet for the day. Assignments are always listed on the side board in your classroom. I understand there is a lot of public controversy on the benefits of homework in education. In my experience as a math teacher, it only increases your level of comprehension. Math is one of these subjects where one concept can be asked in a multitude of ways. Most kids can answer the different types of problems with some guidance from their teachers - but can they think on their own?! Going over homework each day gives me some feedback as to whether or not you understand the concept. Try your hardest and I will try and not make homework become a royal pain!
